Claudia De Angelis
I have a bachelor degree in Industrial design and a Master Degree in Visual and Multimedia Design at the Faculty of Design and Arts (IUAV) in Venice, where I discovered my interest in Interaction Design thanks to the courses held by Gillian Crampton Smith and Philip Tabor, and a deep love for typography thanks to the late Enrico Camplani. After attending a UX School at the agency HUGE in Brooklyn, I joined Nokia first and then HERE Technologies: I’ve been focusing on digital product design for the past 10 years.
I balance my job with personal interests like reading, going to museums and discovering new restaurants. But I mainly love spending time with my two little girls, 5 and 2 years old. They are my daily inspiration and a great opportunity to rediscover my childhood interests and early passions.
Watching people interact with a product is fascinating. Most of the time we design for people that are very different from us, and it’s like interpreting a role in a movie. You have to almost become that person to really feel what they are feeling, and to understand how to make their experience better, and leave them with a sense of happiness and accomplishment.
